Medical services resumed to CGHS beneficiaries

HYDERABAD: A.P. Speciality Hospitals Association (ASHA) on Wednesday has decided to resume medical services to beneficiaries of Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) in twin cities. The corporate hospitals have started accepting CGHS patients from Wednesday, a release from ASHA said.

The decision to resume the medical services was taken after a written assurance from B.P. Kumar, Additional Director of CGHS, Hyderabad, to ASHA on January 6. The assurance was to clear all the dues of CGHS by January 31, release said.

ASHA officials said that the decision to stop providing medical services to CGHS beneficiaries was due to indifferent and non-cooperative attitude of the earlier Additional Director of CGHS Hyderabad.
