Bangalore: The National Cricket Academy will conduct a seminar for specialised coaches of various State associations here from January 13 to 22. Besides the NCA’s coaching staff led by Dav Whatmore, the refresher program is also expected to feature Anil Kumble, Sourav Ganguly, Robin Singh, Venkatesh Prasad, L. Sivaramakrishnan and Saba Karim as part of the visiting faculty. The academy is awaiting confirmation from Kumble and Ganguly. The program will deal with nearly 30 specialised coaches from each segment — batting, fielding/wicket-keeping and bowling inclusive of pace and spin. A Level ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate is the minimum qualification for the participating coaches. RBI posts winRBI defeated BEL 2-1 in a State ‘A’ division hockey league match at the KSHA Stadium here on Wednesday. Mario Kasi and Thanu Nanjappa scored for RBI while Palani’s notched BEL’s lone goal in the 44th minute. In another match, DBHA held ITI to a 2-2 draw.
