Construction work at IGI reviewed
NEW DELHI: A delegation of officials from the Beijing Capital International Airport visited the construction site of Terminal 3 at Indira Gandhi International Airport here on Tuesday.
The Chinese delegation reviewed the progress of development work being carried out by the airport operator, Delhi International Airport Limited, for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in the Capital.
DIAL had invited the delegation to suggest measures in view of work done at the Beijing airport for the 2008 Olympics.
The visiting delegation reportedly told DIAL that it ought to focus on baggage handling system and information technology for smooth functioning of the airport. It also said that DIAL’s main challenge was completing the work on time.
