Conference begins at BHEL

HYDERABAD: Union Minister of State for Commerce and Power Jairam Ramesh on Tuesday emphasised the need for making the industry equipped with robotic manufacturing technology for full automation of shop floors, especially in power-generation, to meet rising demand for higher capacity machinery.

He was speaking at a two-day national conference on ‘Robotics and intelligent manufacturing process organised by the Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (R&D).

He met young engineers who recently joined the organisation.

While commending the country’s young engineering talent, he said if the public enterprises could check brain drain and provide better environment nothing could stop the country from becoming a super power.
