OU professor passes away

HYDERABAD: P. Maruthi Mohan, professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Osmania University, passed away on Tuesday due to cardiac arrest while playing lawn tennis tournament in Vizag. He is survived by wife, son and daughter. The cremation will take place on Wednesday in Hyderabad.

The 54-year-old Prof. Mohan did his M.Sc. from Osmania University and post-doctoral work from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, USA.

He served as Director, University Foreign Relations Office during 2006-2007 and organised Career Awareness and Recruitment Drive (CARD) and job mela programmes at Osmania University.
