VISAKHAPATNAM: Noted Yoga expert Swami Ramdev from Haridwar will conduct a free Yog Science Camp at Andhra University Cricket Ground (outgate) on February 1 from 5 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. Announcing this at a media conference here on Tuesday, Agarwal Mahasabha president Chandmal Agarwal said that the swamiji would arrive on January 31 from Hyderabad for the one-day programme. Sponsor of the programme in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, Managing Trustee of Shree Foundation at Basheer Bagh in Hyderabad, Anil Kumar, said that Swami Ramdev would conduct a six-day camp at NTR Stadium from January 26 to 31 after which he would arrive in Visakhapatnam for the one-day programme. The swamiji was creating public awareness on yoga and the rich heritage of the country which were forgotten by the present generation, he stated. Head of AP Patanjali Yoga Centre Narendraji Acharya said that the swamiji had admirers worldwide for the simplicity of techniques used for practising different breathing exercises or Panayama to cure several chronic diseases. The swami visited Visakhapatnam in 2004 and conducted a free yoga camp at Dr. L. Bullayya College for six days, he recalled. There were efforts to organize a similar camp during November-December this year, he said.
