VISAKHAPATNAM: Students must get prepared themselves for the job market which was offering huge opportunities, Commissioner of Police N. Sambasiva Rao said while participating in the annual day celebrations of the Visakha Government Degree College for Women here on Tuesday. Industries and organisations were feeling the dearth of good and efficient candidates and this aspect must be taken notice by the students as well as teachers and the communication skills and soft skills must be improved, Mr. Sambasiva Rao said. He wanted the girl students to be bold and fearless. Principal V. Sujata presided. Students’ union advisor K. Pamela Thomas presented a report. President of the students’ union Kavya, who won the first prize in the elocution competition on love mania, repeated it during the anniversary function. Her observations covered all aspects including the mistakes or misadventures of the girls. Faculty members Nalini Dutta, Prasanna and Upendra, Physical Director Venugopal Reddy, students’ representative P. Rajya Lakshmi and others spoke.
