MANGALORE: Minister for Minority Welfare Mumtaz Ali Khan has said that the funds required for the construction of a hostel for working women on St. Aloysius College premises will be sanctioned. Addressing presspersons after visiting the college here on Tuesday, Mr. Khan said the college could submit an application in this regard. Referring to the recent attacks on churches and prayer halls, he said they were the result of “coercive conversions”. The evangelical group New Life was responsible for conversions. “Not all Christians are involved,” he said. He said, preaching a religion was a constitutional right, but enticing people to convert was “a crime”.
