Kannur University

Ph. D Application: Applications have been invited for Ph.D programme in the academic departments under Kannur University and its approved research centres. An applicant must have a minimum of 55 per cent marks for post-graduate course in their respective disciplines. Scheduled Caste/Tribe students will be offered a marks concession of five per cent in science subjects and 10 per cent in other subjects. Application forms are available at the Calicut University Central Co-operative Stores Ltd. at the Stadium Complex and could also be downloaded from the university website www.kannuruniversity.ac.in.

Open Defence: An open defence on a Ph.D. dissertation on ‘Exports performance of home furnishing textile units in the globalised scenario’ would be held on the Thalassery campus at Palayad on January 21. The dissertation would be available for reading at the campus library three days before the debate.

Calicut University

M.Sc. Polymer Chemistry: The results of the second semester M.Sc. Polymer Chemistry examinations held in August and fourth semester examinations held in September have been published. The results have also been posted on the university website. The last date to submit applications for revaluation, scrutiny and obtaining copies of answer scripts is January 17.

B.Tech Examinations: The fourth semester B.Tech examination (2000 and 2004 admission) earlier scheduled to be held on October 29 and postponed, will be held at the Sahridaya Engineering College and Jyothi Engineering College on January 17.

M.Sc. Mathematics results: The results of the M.Sc. fourth semester examinations held in September have been published. The last date to apply for revaluation and obtaining copies of answer scripts is January 20.
