Defence land transfer to HMDA

HYDERABAD: The Ministry of Defence and local military authorities have given working permission and transfer of 1967.992 square yards of defence land in the Military Hospital, Golconda premises to Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), a release said.

The HMDA has paid Rs. 1, 96, 79,920 towards compensation for the above defence land to the Defence Estate Officer, A.P. Circle Secunderabad, HMDA release said. Further, an amount of Rs. 1 lakh was also paid to the local military authorities towards the cost of cable shifting, release added.

Physical possession of the above land has been taken from Monday and work of construction of new compound wall to the Military Hospital, Golconda premises with an estimated cost of Rs. 16 lakh has also commenced, release added.
