District team selected
The following players have been selected to the Madurai district team for the Inter-district Table Tennis Championship to be held in Tiruchi from January 9 to 11: (men’s team) V. Kalyanaraman (captain), R. Chandrasekaran, A.D. Saravanan and S. Jeyakumar; (junior boy’s team) S. Jeyanthan (captain), B. Thamilarasan and M. Easter Raja; (sub-junior boy’s team) S. Balakrishnan (captain), K. Varadharajan and K.V. Brajesh; (cadet boy’s team) A.S. Hariharan (captain), H. Meenakshi Sundaram and R.G. Diwakaran; (junior girl’s team) S. Dharshinika (captain), H. Poornima and A. Sanjana Meenakshi; (cadet girl’s team) R.K. Soundarya (captain), S. Kavya and S.E. Srinidhi.
The team manager is N.V. Chandrasekaran while the chief coach is C. Manickam and assistant coach is T.R. Balaji, according to a press release.
