Udupi: “Muslims should protect temples, Hindus should protect mosques, both Hindus and Muslims should protect churches,” Minister for Wakf and Minority Welfare Mumtaz Ali Khan said on Monday. He was speaking after inaugurating a discussion on “Problems and facilities available for minority communities” organised by the Zilla Alpasankhyatara Vedike here. Mr. Khan said that everybody should follow his or her own religion. But they should also respect other religions. All religions preached peace and harmony. “People of all religions should live in harmony,” he said.
