Mobile clinic opened

HYDERABAD: About 65,600 girls will benefit from the national programme for education of girls at elementary level aimed at making health facilities accessible to girl students at government schools, Minister for Rajeev Vidya Mission M. Hanumantarao said on Monday.
Speaking at the inauguration of a mobile health clinic at Vijayanagar Colony, the Minister called for better utilisation of the programme being implemented in the city with an expenditure of Rs. 8.1 lakh.
Extolling the government schemes pertaining to merit scholarships and residential schools for girls, he said social change is paramount to improving education levels among girls. The clinics to be introduced in 700 schools in the district will provide drugs free apart from conducting medical tests, Hyderabad Collector Navin Mittal said.
