Lok Satta organisational polls from today

VISAKHAPATNAM: The organisational elections of Lok Satta will be held in various mandals of Visakhapatnam district from Monday.

According to spokesperson Srinivas Mahesh, the election will be held for Anakapalle and Kasimkota mandals on January 5 at Anakapalle. The election will also be held for the other mandals at Hukumpeta, Nakkapalli, Narsipatnam and Pedabayalu on the day.

The elections will take place at Kota Uratla, Chodavaram, G. Madugula and Araku Valley on January 6. On the next day, the election will be held at Paderu, Anantagiri and Elamanchili.

Elocution contest

The Bala Vikas Foundation will organise an elocution contest, in Telugu and English on January 11, for final year degree students to mark the National Youth Day i.e, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, according to honorary secretary Narava Prakasa Rao. The topic is “Role of youth to make India strong, united and prosperous.” Details of the contest at Vasavi Degree College can be had on 9440675955.
