Block-wise meetings to fix grading

Tiruvannamalai: Block-wise meetings to fix grading for women self-help groups functioning in the district will be held on three different dates, Collector M. Rajendran has said.

In a statement released here, he said that officials concerned and bank managers would conduct the meeting. Meetings to fix grading for Tiruvannamalai, Kil Pennathur, Turinjapuram, Kalasapakkam, Arni and West Arni blocks would be held at 10 a.m. on January 6.

For Chetpet, Anakkavur, Cheyyar, Polur, Jawadhi Hills, Chengam and Pudupalayam blocks, meetings would be held at 10 a.m. on January 7.

In Peranamallur, Vembakkam, Thandarampattu and Thellar blocks, the meeting would be held at 10 a.m. on January 9. In Vandavasi block, the meeting would be held at 3 p.m. on January 9.

The meetings for each block would take place in Block Development Offices (BDO office) concerned, baring three exceptions. Meeting for West Arni Block would be held in Arni BDO office, meeting for Jawadhi Hills block would be held in Polur BDO office and for Pudupalayam block at Chengam BDO office.

“All qualified SHGs operating in each panchayat union limits can present their records before the grading committee on the stipulated date at the fixed venue and get their groups graded. We also request NGOs to advice the groups they are guiding to use this opportunity,” the Collector said in the statement.
