Salem
SALEM: Five children were admitted to Salem Government Medical College Hospital on Sunday after they reportedly consumed a poisonous substance. Police said the children, Bhoomika (7), Thulasi (4), Rajeshkumar (10), Ranjith (8) and Dharshini (2) were playing near a garbage heap, when they found a packet and ate its contents. The children fainted near the heap and people in the area rushed them to Kallakurichi government hospital. They were referred for further treatment to Salem government hospital. The condition of the children was out of danger.
