Industrialists urged to maintain harmonious relations with employees VISAKHAPATNAM: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited Chairman and Managing Director P.K. Bishnoi on Saturday called for proper implementation of labour laws for the welfare of the employees. ConferenceHe was speaking at one-day conference on ‘Recent trends in labour laws – applications to industry’ held at Training and Development Centre of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. The conference was organised by the Employers’ Federation of Southern India (EFSI), Hyderabad chapter. He called the managers of various industries to introspect and balance empathy and use labour laws for the benefit of the workforce. Mr. Bishnoi asked the industrialists not to blame the trade unions and workers for the problems faced by them in their business and try to finalise proper strategies, adopt latest technologies and linkages to earn good profits by having harmonious relationship with the employees. Justice L. Narasimha Reddy, Judge, AP High Court, who addressed the gathering, asked the members not to go for extremities either being harsh or too soft as both situations were undesirable. In such cases, the judicial system had to come into balance the situation. VSP Director (personnel) Y. Manohar, members of EFSI, senior officials of VSP and others attended.
