ITI staffers’ pension withheld in ACB case

HYDERABAD: Principal Syed Abdul Khaleel and two senior assistants T. V. Narayana and A. Ramakrishna of Government ITI (minorities), Kadapa, have been punished by withholding of pension and gratuity in full permanently and dismissal respectively, following their conviction by the Special Judge for SEP and ACB cases, Nellore.

A press release issued by ACB here on Saturday said the judge had sentenced the three to one year’s simple imprisonment and fined Rs.4, 000 each. ACB officials had conducted a surprise check of the ITI stores and found ‘grave irregularities’. The irregularities included purchase at exorbitant rates huge quantity of non-specified materials causing ‘wrongful loss’ of over Rs.18.88 lakh to the exchequer and pecuniary advantage to the trio.
