“It’s time for people to judge Congress performance”

Staff Reporter

Katrenikona (E.G dist.): Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy said the time had come for people to judge the performance of Congress in comparison to that of TDP.

The Congress had fulfilled almost all the promises it had made prior to 2004 Assembly elections and it did not confine itself to assurances it had given to the people.

There was no people’s problem that was not solved by the Government even if it did not figure in their wish-list, he claimed.

Stone laid

Addressing a public meeting here after laying the foundation stone for Moolapalem-Pallamkurru road bridge on Saturday, Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy said the Congress was committed to serve the people, unlike the TDP which made tall claims of its few achievements.

The Congress improved the living conditions of all sections of society and set the State on the growth path, hence it deserved to be voted to power again in the ensuing elections, Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy .

Conceding Mummidivaram MLA P Viswaroop’s request, Mr. Rajasekhara Reddy announced that the proposal for construction of a bridge at Gogullanka would be looked into immediately. The Chief Minister also agreed to name the bridges at Saladivaripalem and Moolapalem after Tadi Tata Rao and Battina Subba Rao respectively.

The Annampalli aqueduct would be named after Kudipudi Prabhakar Rao.
