KHAMMM: TRS State secretary E. Haribabu embarked on a four-day relay hunger strike in front of the Collectorate on Saturday protesting against the alleged raw deal meted out to khammam in the implementation of the Jalayagnam projects. He said the Polavaram project expected to help irrigate coastal belt, would leave over one lakh acres submerged in the district besides displacing a large number of families of primitive tribal groups. The Pothireddipadu project would affect over 3.2 lakh acres in the Telangana region. Staff Reporter
