KHAMMAM: A tumultuous welcome awaits Chief Minister Y. Rajasekhar Reddy in Madhira on Sunday. He will lay foundation stones for works costing over Rs 150 crores on his first visit. A carnival atmosphere would mark the day- long itinerary. The Congress cadres are going all out to make it a big event with a large-scale mobilization for the public meeting which he will address at the Indiramma grounds in the town. Some 9000 people would line up the 9-km road from Dendukur to Madhira to welcome him by showering the convoy with flower petals. Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, MLC, said the Chief Minister would lay the foundation stone for modernisation of the Wyra reservoir and its canal system costing Rs 50 crores. He would lay the stones for the roadover bridges a Bonakal, Yerrupalm and Dendukur – all costing Rs 100 crores.
