COIMBATORE: The Association for the Rights of the Visually Challenged (ARVIC) will celebrate the birth centenary of Louis Braille at Nirmala College of Arts and Science on January 6.

Braille reading and writing competitions will be conducted for students with visual impairment and elocution competitions will be conducted for college students with normal vision.

An exhibition will also be held with the aim of creating awareness about visual impairment. The programme would be conducted in association with the UDIS Forum (a network that facilitates the employment of people with disabilities).
