VCDs seized

KARUR: The police have picked up two persons on charges of selling pirated VCDs and seized over 500 VCDs of new releases from their possession here on Wednesday.

Following a tip-off, Karur Town police station Inspector Kummaraja and his team swooped on an electronics shop and another video shop near the bus stand and unearthed 263 and 237VCDs containing new film releases from the shops. The police picked up two staffers from the shops and are investigating.
