Karnataka reigns supreme
BANGALORE: It was almost a clean sweep for Karnataka in the National junior and sub-junior aquathlon championship which concluded Aurangabad on Dece.29, 2008. Karnataka won all the medals at stake, except the silver in the junior girls’ section.
In the junior boys’ section, Pranav Kumar, Rana Pratap and Krishna Kumar (all Karnataka) won the gold, silver and bronze respectively while in the junior girls’ group, Navya Shenoy emerged as the champion and Pragathi Hathwar won the bronze. But the silver went to Komal of Gujarat.
In the sub-junior boys’ section, Mayur, S. Supreeth and Sanu Saju took the top three spots while in the gilrs’ section, K. Chandana retained her title and her Karnataka teammates Ashitha Suresh and U.S. Sapthami bagged the silver and bronze respectively. — Special Correspondent
