Thabarak Baik shines
VELLORE: I.T. Thabarak Baik who scored 64 and 52 helped Vellore beat Erode by 68 runs in a semifinal match of the TNCA under-19 inter-District cricket tournament which concluded here on Friday.
The scores: Vellore 187 in 59.2 overs (I.T. Thabarak Baik 64, V. Naresh Babu 60, C. Srinivasan seven for 21) and 194 in 38.4 overs (Thabarak Baik 52, S. Sikkander Shareef 43, M. Bilvaprasad 34, S. Kiran Prasad six for 65) bt Erode 202 in 67 overs (T. Ashraq 67 not out, T. Anand 44, A. Vadivel 42, S. Ulaganathan five for 33, R. Rohit four for 58) and 111 in 36.5 overs (A. Vadivel 37, V. Naresh Babu three for 21, S. Ulaganathan two for 31) by 68 runs.
Cricket tournament
The Cuddalore District Cricket Association, Cuddalore Cosmopolitan Cricket Club and Cuddalore District Cricket Academy will jointly conduct a district-level cricket tournament for the T.R.
