PMK youth wing to focus more on villages

VILLUPURAM: The youth wing of the Pattali Makkal Katchi will be galvanised and its activities will be focussed more on villages, according to Anbumani Ramadoss, State organiser of the youth wing and Union Minister for Health.
He was speaking at a special general body meeting of the party held at Thailapuram on Friday.
Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss said the youth wing ought to gear up and its members should spread out to rural areas to create awareness among about party’s achievements. He said the State conference of the youth wing would be held in Chennai on February 21.
He appreciated the functioning of the women’s wing.
He stated that members of the Pasumai Thayagam, green wing of the party, would have easy access anywhere because its activities in promoting environmental aspects was widely known. Party founder S. Ramadoss said in December the party would give away awards to functionaries in recognition of their contributions.
