BANGALORE: Newly elected Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs K. Shivanagouda Naik, J. Narasimhaswamy and Anand Vasanth Asnotikar on Friday took oath as members of the Legislative Assembly. All three MLAs were elected in the recently held byelections. Legislative Assembly Speaker Jagadish Shettar administered the oath to newly elected MLAs. Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, Home Minister V.S. Acharya and MLA C.T. Ravi were among those who were present on the occasion. Winter sessionLater speaking to presspersons, Mr. Shettar said the winter session of the State legislature would be held in Belguam from January 16. But there would not be a question hour during the session. Governor Rameshwar Thakur would address the joint session on the opening day, which is a constitutional requirement, and the main agenda for the session was discussion of the motion of thanks for the Governor’s address and any urgent legislative measures. With Lok Sabha elections likely to be held in April and May, the budget session of legislature is likely to be held in February or early March, he said.
