New Vice-Chief for Army Staff

NEW DELHI: Lieutenant-General Noble Thamburaj has assumed charge as the Vice-Chief of the Army Staff. A 1969 batch officer, Lt. Gen. Thamburaj has a distinguished career spanning 38 years.

He takes over from Lt. Gen. Milan Naidu, who has since superannuated. Prior to moving over to the current assignment, Lt. Gen. Thamburaj was the Southern Army Commander based in Pune.
