Man dies after farewell to daughter

Bangalore: A 60-year-old man, who was returning home on a motorcycle after seeing off his daughter, who went to the airport, died on the spot when a tempo rammed into his vehicle near Basavanagudi police station on Wednesday night.
The victim has been identified as Janardhana Reddy, a resident of Banashankari III stage.
His wife, Vijayalakshmi, who was riding pillion, sustained injuries.
The police said the couple had come to K.R. Road to drop their daughter, who took a taxi to reach Bengaluru International Airport as she was leaving for the U.S.
The police have arrested the driver of the vehicle.
