Tenzin scores two goals

NEW DELHI: Tenzin Taephel netted a brace as Royal Rangers recorded a thumping 5-0 victory over an under-strength Youngmen Club in a Group ‘A’ preliminary league match of the Delhi Soccer Association annual senior division open clubs league championship at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Thursday.

Apart from Tenzin, Don Tshering, Deepak Mehra and Lobsang Wangyal scored a goal each for Rangers, which collected three points to increase its tally to four from three matches.

Youngmen suffered due to the absence of five of its regular players, who were representing Delhi in the ongoing junior National championship in Chhattisgarh.

In another encounter, Sahadara Club rode on the lone goal of A. Peter to pip Garhwal Heroes and open its account on the points tally. Sahadara now has three points from two games.
