Garib Rath flag off on January 3

CHENNAI: The inaugural run of Puducherry – Yesvantpur Garib Rath Weekly Express will be flagged off by Puducherry Chief Minister V. Vaithilingam on January 3 at 4.30 p.m.

A press release from Southern Railway said that the inaugural special will leave Puducherry Railway Station on Saturday at 5.30 p.m. and run up to the next station. Later, the regular service of train no. 2256 will commence from Puducherry on the same day at 10 p.m. In return direction, train no. 2255 will commence from Yesvantpur on January 9.

Train no. 2256 will leave Puducherry at 10 p.m. on Saturdays and arrive at Yesvantpur at 8.25 a.m., the next day. Train no. 2255 will leave Yesvantpur at 11.15 p.m. on Fridays and arrive at Puducherry at 9.20 a.m., the next day. Reservations for the trains have commenced.
