PATHANAMTHITTA: Janata Dal national general secretary Varghese George has called upon the Union government to cut prices of petrol and diesel at least by Rs.20 with immediate effect in the backdrop of the steep fall in the crude oil price in the international market. In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Dr. George alleged that the delay in slashing the fuel prices was a design to protect the interests of oil companies. – Staff Reporter
