Jharkhand beats Manipur

CHENNAI: Jharkhand turned in a collective performance to beat a strong Manipur team 4-1 in the third round of a second-phase group III match in the AIFF under-14 girls’ National football festival at Hindustan University.

The results: Group I: Bihar bt Gujarat 9-1; Group II: Goa bt Puducherry 4-0, Haryana bt Uttarakhand 4-1; Group III: Jharkhand bt Manipur 4-1, Kerala bt Delhi 10-0; Group IV: Orissa bt Punjab 6-0, Tripura bt Chhattisgarh 5-1; Group V: Maharashtra bt Karnataka 5-0. — Special Correspondent
