Coimbatore in final

Salem: Marimuthu picked five for 45 as Coimbatore defeated Salem by 34 runs to enter the final of the TNCA under-19 inter-District cricket tournament at the Neelambal Subramaniam HSS grounds here on Wednesday.

Overnight 99 for no loss, the host was bundled out for 222 in a shade less than 40 overs. Pradeep Kumar (58) and V. Saravanan (49) top scored for the team.

The scores: Semifinals: Coimbatore 216 & 175 for six decl. bt Salem 135 & 222 in 39.3 overs (Pradeep Kumar 58, V. Saravanan 49).
