Police yet to trace vehicle owner
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: The city police are searching for the owner of the motorcycle used by Mohammed Mukarram Pasha, who died after he was shot while trespassing into the officials quarters of the Commander of Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area on Airport Road on Saturday night.
Records show that the motorcycle has been hypothecated to a finance company and the police are trying to trace the company and the owner. The original vehicle owner passed away a few years ago.
At 1.30 a.m. on Sunday, 19-year-old Pasha, who was part of an illegal drag race, fled the police and scaled the wall to enter the premises of Brigadier P.S. Ravindranath’s quarters.
He was shot by the sentry when he did not heed the surrender call.
The Ulsoor police have checked the call records of Pasha’s mobile phone during the time he was on Brig. Ravindranath’s terrace.
The police confirmed that the calls were made to his relatives, including his mother, seeking help to come out of the house.
