Discoms working arbitrarily: BJP

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Delhi BJP president Harsh Vardhan on Tuesday demanded that the Lieutenant-Governor institute a high-level enquiry into the arbitrary manner in which the private power distribution companies were operating. He charged that the discoms recently even withheld power supply to the Kondli sewage treatment plant for three days.

‘Complete halt’

Dr. Vardhan said such an approach of the discoms had brought the working of the sewage treatment plant to a complete halt and as a consequence sewer water kept going directly into the Yamuna during the period the power supply was stopped.
