Narayanaswamy sparkles

BANGALORE: An allround performance by N.H. Narayanaswamy, who scored 40 runs and claimed five wickets for 23 runs, helped Vijaya CC, Malur to beat Blaze CC, Hoskote by 110 runs in the KSCA fifth division (Group I ) league match here. A fine effort by Chander Singh, who hit an unbeaten 105 and also took three wickets for 49 runs, went in vain as Freelancers CC lost to BMS College of Engineering by two wickets.

Freelancers CC 275 for nine in 50 overs (Sherrif 41, Chander Singh 105 n.o., Alok five for 75) lost to BMS College of Engineering 279 for eight in 47.1 overs (Vivek 48, Santhosh 50, Yeshwanath 44, Mahesh 52 n.o.).

Mathikere CC 184 in 44.3 overs (Chetan 42, Gajendra 48 n.o., Pratap four for 31) lost to Vasanthanagar Cricketers 187 for two in 33 overs (Santhosh 69 n.o., Kiran Veda 58).

Vijaya CC, Malur 215 in 48.4 overs (H.S. Narayanaswamy 40) beat Blaze CC, Hoskote 105 in 34.4 overs (H.S. Naryanaswamy five for 23).

Star Sports CC, Nelamangala 130 in 34.5 overs (Ashwin five for 22) beat Garfield Cricketers 68 in 24.2 overs (Monty four for 33).

Sapphire CC 161 in 39.3 overs beat Merchants CC (2) 153 in 34 overs (Venugopal Rao four for 37). — Special Correspondent
