Home Guards to be trained in English

New Delhi: The Delhi Government on Tuesday said that its ground level axillary force - home guards - will undergo training in English conversation before the Commonwealth Games to help them interact with foreign tourists who will throng the Capital next year. The move comes after Home Ministry decided on a similar step for the Delhi Police. “A well-designed plan is being charted out to train more than 10,000 home guards in spoken English,” D-G Home Guards U S Katna said.
