AIDS screening programme

For the benefit of all: Major S. Balakrishnan (Retd) (second from left) inaugurating the AIDS awareness and screening programme for ex-servicemen and their family members at the Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme Polyclinic at Mahalakshmi Nagar in Krishnagiri on Tuesday.

KRISHNAGIRI: An AIDS awareness and screening camp was conducted for ex-servicemen and their families at the Ex-servicement Contributory Health Scheme Polyclinic in Krishnagiri on Tuesday.

Polyclinic Officer-in-charge Maj S. Banakrishnan (Retd) inaugurated the camp on behalf of Col. OS Yadav, Stn. Cdr. Stn, HQ Coimbatore.

Medical Officers P. Singaravelu, T.M. Sathiamoorthy, V. Ushalatha and K.M. Krishnamoorthy conducted the screening.

The camp was organised by P. Shanmugam, Secretary of the Krishnagiri Rotary Club.

As many as 60 persons were screened for AIDS in the camp.
