APUWJ golden jubilee meet

VISAKHAPATNAM: The golden jubilee State council meeting of the AP Union of Working Journalists will be held at the AU Ambedkar Assembly Hall here on January 3 and 4.

Reception Committee general secretary D. Ravi Kumar told reporters here on Tuesday that a national seminar on “Terrorism- New Challenges and Media” would be organised to mark the inauguration. Press Council of India Chairman G.N. Ray will be the chief guest. Press Academy of Andhra Pradesh Chairman Devulapalli Amar will preside. The Press Academy, the Journalism Department of Andhra University and the APUWJ are organising the seminar. Member of the Press Council of India K. Sreenivas Reddy and President of Indian Journalists’ Union Suresh Prasad Akhouri are among those participating. Ministers Botsa Satyanarayana, Dharmana Prasada Rao, Konatala Ramakrishna, Kanna Lakshminarayana and Anam Ramnarayana Reddy will participate.
