GJM asks Centre to create Gorkhaland

New Delhi: Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) on Tuesday urged the Centre to take urgent steps for creation of Gorkhaland.

After meeting the Home Minister P. Chidambaram, leaders of the GJM said they pressed for the creation of a new State and hoped that the Centre would concede their demand.

“Time has come to create Gorkhaland. We have done so much for the country, we have sacrificed so much,” GJM general secretary Roshan Giri told reporters. — PTI
