CEO directive to political parties

CHENNAI: Chief Electoral Officer Naresh Gupta on Monday directed political functionaries, party workers, procession functionaries and campaign functionaries to move out of Thirumangalam Assembly Constituency on January 7 by 5 p.m. to ensure conduct of free and fair elections.

In a press release, he said this order would also cover all those political functionaries who had been provided security by the State. — Special Correspondent
