CPI (M)’s appeal to Election Commission

CHENNAI: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has appealed to the Election Commission to ensure free and fair election in Thirumangalam constituency.

State secretary of the party N.Varadarajan in a statement here on Monday alleged that the DMK workers had been indulging in violence in Thirumangalam constituency in the presence of police.

Election offices and workers of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and its allies were attacked. Three injured party workers had been admitted to hospital and over 20 vehicles were damaged. — Special Correspondent
