Mobile coin dispensing unit flagged off in Salem

SALEM: A mobile coin dispensing unit was flagged off by Collector J. Chandrakumar in Salem city on Monday.

The Indian Bank, lead bank of the district, took up this initiative following requests from a large number of people demanding coins. The bank brought it to the notice of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and received new coins to the tune of Rs. 4 lakh.
