Ashok scalps seven in New Blues’ win

HYDERABAD: Good spell by Ashok (seven for 44) helped New Blues record a five-wicket win over SUCC in the A-Division (one-day) knock-out cricket tournament here on Sunda.

The scores:

A-Division (one-day) league: RK Puram 141 (Vinod Kumar 52, Eshwar Yadav 35, Sumit five for 19, Hari four for 30) lost to Gaganmahal 142 for five.

SUCC 176 (Naveed 74, Ashok seven for 44) lost to New Blues 177 for five (Malay Raja 49).

A-Division (one-day) knock-out:

Khursheed Jah 202 (Mahboob Ahmed 65, Kaleem 76, Md. Altaf Younus five for 18) lost to Classic 204 for five (Kazmi 51, Azam 50).

Sayi Satya 112 lost to Deccan Chronicle 115 for three (Eshwar Prasad 47).

Khalsa 220 for nine (Avtar Singh 77) lost to Budding Stars 222 for nine (Nimeesh Reddy 109, Sheikh four for 60).

A-Institution: Indian Airlines 253 for eight (Ayaz Omer 128, Ashok Bhandari 40, Ritesh Singh four for 76) bt Canara Bank 108.

ECIL 255 for eight (Rajesh Kayala 78) bt Apcob 59.

B-Division (one-day) league: PN Youngsters 198 (Sunny four for 31) lost to Imperial 199 for five (Rakesh 47, Vijay 60).

Cosmos 143 (Vijay 52, Md. Arshad Hussain six for 20) bt Noble 135 (Muzzaffar 45, Anwar 51).

MP Sporting 129 (Sandeep 44, Sandeep four for 26, Ravi Anthony four for eight) lost to St. Mary’s 130 for no loss (K. Jagadish Reddy 51 not out, Shahnawaaz 51 not out).

Enosh shines

Enosh (89) helped Auxillium High School record a 103-run wino ver Good Samaritans High School in the under-13 category of the Santa Cup sub-juniors cricket tournament being organised by Vijay Paul Cricket Academy here on Sunday.

Under-15: Rakesh Tandon CA 140 for nine (Deepak three for 10) lost to St. Peter’s CA 141 for one (Shaibaaz Tumbi 75, Rajat Ramesh 32).

Bhega’s HS 176 for five (Gaurav Saudagar 71 not out) bt Naqvi CA 155 (Amitabh Misra 41, Deep Singh 31, Gaurav Saudagar four for 22, G. Prasad four for 23).
