Curry powder exports

BETTER UNIT VALUE: Worker engaged in a turmeric processing machine in a curry powder manufacturing unit near Kochi. Total exports of curry powder from the country during April-October 2008 have gone up to 8,500 tonnes valued at Rs. 97.14 crore from 6,400 tonnes last year valued at Rs. 61.90 crore. The unit value has increased to Rs. 114.29 a kg from Rs. 96.72 a kg.
