These included the reopening of Dunlop India Ltd, whose mother unit at Sahagunj in West Bengal has been locked for sometime now. An industrial unit could be set up on the remaining 600 acres, but only after following a transparent process of global tendering. She said that she has urged the Governor to take up with the Centre, the issue of the problem being faced by nearly a lakh students trained by the Primary Teachers Training Institute in West Bengal, which is not recognised by the National Council of Technical Education Following a court order the certificates given by these institutes in West Bengal are now invalid placing the students in dire uncertainty.
