Sanitary workers for Srirangam festival

Corporation Commissioner T.T. Balsamy has instructed officials to ensure adequate deployment of workers to improve sanitation in Srirangam in view of the Vaikunda Ekadasi festival. Mr. Balsamy, who chaired a review meeting on Friday, told to depute sanitary workers from other zones over and above the temporary workers hired for the purpose. He asked the officials to also focus on maintaining sanitation in other parts of the city including the bus stands, railway junction and other arterial roads. All necessary equipment and cleaning materials have been stocked, he said.
