NEW DELHI: Three men were killed in separate accidents in the Capital in the early hours of Saturday.

The first accident was reported around 12-30 a.m. when a truck rammed into a car at Yamuna Vihar in the trans-Yamuna area. The two occupants of the car, Ashok Jain (42) and Vinay Jain (32), were killed on the spot. The truck driver sped away. The accident led to a traffic jam on the road for about an hour.

The police found that both the victims were residents of Rohini and were returning from Meerut in UP when the accident took place.

In another accident around 2 a.m., a 45-year-old motorcyclist, Mahesh Chand, was run over by a truck coming from the opposite direction in Chiragh Dilli. The truck driver has been arrested.
