Five Congress workers held

CHENNAI: Police on Saturday arrested five Congress workers after they attempted to burn the effigy of Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari.

According to police, the five persons, including South Chennai District Youth Congress vice-president, congregated near the clock tower in Royapettah and tried to burn the effigy at 10.30 a.m.

They were released in the evening.
